Submitting Your Application Form
A key part of your application is an online form that captures information about you and your educational/professional background. You cannot save and return to this form. Please be prepared to submit the full application with all of your required documents.
All applications that are fully submitted receive an email notification confirming the submission.
To ensure efficient notification, please make sure that emails from email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org are not being caught in your SPAM filter.
Uploading Required Documents
To complete your application, applicants will need to submit the following documents (PDF preferred, .doc also accepted):
- A clear and appropriate Headshot (passport style; .jpg preferred)
- A CV or résumé
- An unofficial Academic Transcript from all colleges or universities you have attended (currently enrolled students or recent grads only)
- Personal Statement
- An academic or professional Writing Sample that meets the guidelines of your selected program(s)
Please name these files using your last name and the type of document (e.g., Tolstoy_resume.pdf or Tolstoy_headshot.jpg).
Depending on your program choice, you will submit contact information for one or two references. In addition, for some programs, you will include Letters of Recommendations from your references. (See program requirements.)
Please provide the name, title, and contact information for your reference and/or letter-writer(s). Your reference should be able to speak to your qualifications for our program as well as your interest in political thought, public policy, and/or foreign affairs. If you are applying to the War Studies Program, you must submit two references with letters.
