Curious about the Hertog Foundation’s 2023 Fellowships?

Join us for two virtual open houses. We’ll provide an overview of our fellowship offerings for 2023 and answer your questions about our programs and application process.

Our first event will focus on our six-week Political Studies Program. Political Studies faculty Ryan Hanley will join to discuss past experiments in liberal learning – like the Concord School of Philosophy – and how Political Studies fits into this larger American project of civic and liberal education.

Political Studies

The Political Studies fellowship is open to advanced college undergraduates as well as recent graduates (2022 or 2023) not already pursuing an advanced degree. Up to 36 fellows will be selected.

EARLY DEADLINE: Wednesday, February 15, 2023
FINAL DEADLINE: Wednesday, March 1, 2023

War Studies

War Studies will consider graduating seniors (Class of 2023), rising seniors (Class of 2024) and exceptional rising juniors (Class of 2025). Rising sophomores should consider other Hertog programs. Applicants should have a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Up to 20 fellows will be selected.

Security Studies & Constitutional Studies

Undergraduates, gap-year students, young professionals, and graduate students are all eligible to apply. Fellows may apply for, and participate in, multiple seminars. Each seminar is capped at 20 fellows.
