Jimmy Goodrich is the Vice President for Global Policy at the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA). He leads SIA’s global policy team, working to advance SIA’s international competitiveness, trade, supply chain, and China policy agenda. Mr. Goodrich is a member of the Executive Committee for Beijing-based U.S. information Technology Office (USITO), where he represents SIA in his capacity.

Mr. Goodrich has a diverse background in Chinese technology policy issues. Prior to his current position, Jimmy served as the director of China policy at the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) based in Washington, DC.  Before coming to Washington, DC in 2012, Mr. Goodrich spent nearly a decade working in the tech sector in China — including Cisco Systems, APCO Worldwide, and USITO.

Mr. Goodrich earned his B.A. in comparative politics and East Asian Studies from Ohio University. He is professionally fluent in Mandarin and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Mandarin Society, which promotes mandarin-language study for young Americans.
