View From the Campus: Hertog Fellows on the University Today

On Thursday, July 12, 2018, the Hertog Foundation hosted a panel discussing the current challenges facing the university. The panelists included three Hertog Political Studies Fellows and recent graduates, each of whom has written about their experiences for major publications. Rob Henderson (Yale ’18) spoke about his New York Times op-ed on being a conservative and foster child at Yale; Rob Bellafiore (University of Oklahoma ’18) discussed his Wall Street Journal op-ed on studying the great books; and Elliot Kaufman (Stanford ’18) spoke about his Commentary cover story on intersectionality and campus identity politics. The panel was moderated by Political Studies academic dean and Hoover Institution scholar, Peter Berkowitz.
