Lincoln, Douglass, & Slavery in America: Hertog Conversations with Allen C. Guelzo

The New York Times’ 1619 Project has aimed at nothing less than a revolutionary re-interpretation of US history. In this conversation, noted historian Allen C. Guelzo addresses this revisionist effort and examine Lincoln’s constitutional approach to the problem of slavery in America. Along the way, Prof. Guelzo will discuss the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass and his assessment of Lincoln.
