The National Defense Strategy Commission concluded in its report on the 2018 National Defense Strategy that “the security and well-being of the United States are at greater risk than at any time in decades…if the nation does not act promptly to remedy these circumstances, the consequences will be grave and lasting.” In this conversation, Amb. Eric Edelman and Adm. (U.S. Navy, Ret.) Gary Roughead, co-chairs of the NDS Commission, discuss the crisis of U.S. national security and the need to maintain America’s military edge.
